Great class!
From Hambantota Adventures! in Hambantota, Sri Lanka on Jan 09 '08
I worked in the kitchen with Katy for the first time since right at the beginning in the old kitchen and was great with a bit of sing song and dancing to the word ‘bonche’ meaning ‘beans’ and ‘ponche’ meaning brother’s sister! Malaka was with Suloshika at home so had to have more hands on deck for Paroti the cook.
In the afternoon there were an astonishing amount of children in Pam’s class, a colossal total of 30! Ananada came to help out reading a story separately, which was so appreciated as none of them can understand English and are all so small! EmJ came to my class to watch and help out and was so impressed at how they behaved and were enjoying and understanding the class I taught. It was so different to Tuesday! Think it helped with the layout of the class as once again we’d moved; from the main school building to a temporary outside class. This meant we wouldn’t be disrupting other classes by the noise, my children wouldn’t be wondering to other classes, everyone could see the whiteboard as there is a lot more space for all my children to sit in. Wow, it just gets better and better!
