Visiting Kate

Had a nice time in this small 'city';  we had perfect weather (better than Sydney) the whole time.  The main reason for staying here, other than the fact that Albury's nicely situated between Sydney and Melbourne, was to see Kate, a girl Toni and I know from our Northern Thailand tour.

Wednesday was Kate's 19th birthday, so we had a Mexican at Taco Bill's, watched her play basketball and then went to three different bars to celebrate.  The next day we chilled out at her house, before visiting the Botanic Gardens, the Monument and stopping to paddle in the Murray river.  We also returned to the Bended Elbow drinking establishment in the evening, to have a couple of beers with some local welders - very interesting to say the least.
