This city has a split personality; some very traditional and old sections, including large souks (markets), each dedicated to certain products; gold, leather, fabric, etc. There is a massive "creek" (more what we would call a river) that divides the city. Also, many modern and elaborately constructed high rises, the most noteworthy of which is, of course, the famous so called "7 star"hotel, Burj Al Arab.
