Norway is not a country I ever thought I would visit, nor is it a country I have had a burning desire to visit.  But alas, here we found ourselves and turly loved every minute...well, almost.

Oslo was the low point for our trip, but still well worth doing.  It's a small city and doesn't take ages to see and do the things that you really want to.  We walked everywhere and saw almost everything we wanted to.

The Royal Castle is like most other Royal Castles, except they have the rear gardens open and anyone is allowed to walk through them.  This was convenient since we wanted to go that direction to Frogner Park.

I didn't know what Frogner Park was about, but was told that it was a must do by a friend of mine.  And, I too recommend it to anyone.  But you should be forwarned that it is a park full of naked statues.  In fact every piece of art in the park is of a naked body.  It was really cool to see the art and the love of the human form, but we weren't really prepared for so much nakedness...an neither were the giggling Japanese tourist we ran into there.

Next we continued our walk through the city and went to the port which was really nice, the fort which can definitely be missed and then walked through the town to the Opera House.  The Opera House is by far the most modern building in the city and because you can walk all the way up to the roof, you get some really great views of the Oslofjord.

Next it was to the train.  We took the train from Oslo all the way to Bergen in order to board a boat through the Sogenfjord.  I wasn't really looking forward to being on the train for like 5 hours, but it was a really interesting train ride.  The landscape changed several times during the journey, showing the majesty and variety of landscapes in Norway.  It was our first sight of the Norweigan countryside and it turned us both into lifelong admierers.
