Yesterday I was tired and hot and a little lonely. In the evening though I found a nice little deserted campground that was free to bikers. Another biker showed up- a young assistant principal from Scottsdale- and we had a nice long talk. Today has been very productive. Got up and out early. Had another lovely chat this afternoon with a local biker out for his morning ride. He recommended a bike shop in Carbondale for me. I checked into my motel @ 1, took my camera to the Wallgreens, had the bike shop guys look over my bike while I had lunch. Bought more gear and got my things from the post office. Now I have a ticket to see Harry Potter, half an hour to read before hand- and I just remembered- I rode 40 miles today! Tomorrow I hope to see the Mississippi.
