Today is the birthday of Nelson Mandela, Madiba.  South Africa is alive with warm wishes and celebrations for Madiba.  We're on the road back to Durban and are stopping in Pietermaritzburg so that Greg can visit the Natal Museum Arthropod collection.  Our plane to Cape Town leaves at 9pm this evening.

We spent three hours in the museum and arrived in Durban early enough to enjoy dinner and a few cocktails before our flight.  There are several soccer, hockey and rugby teams arriving in South Africa today and we were able to see most of them, we think.  Very neat to see the locals react to these 'superstars'.

We arrived in Cape Town at Midnight....and our accommodations were surprising.  We'll not let that get us down...
