Lokrum Island Croatia
From Croatia, Montenegro, Bosnia & Sicily, Italy Summer 2007 in Lokrum, Croatia on Jul 10 '07
Greetings from Lokrum, Lokrum is a protected UNESCO Nature reserve island accessible from Dubrovnik by a short ferry boat ride. The island is heavily wooded with pine trees, very rugged beaches, cliffs, hiking trails, a small salt lake inland, and a naturist beach. Shady paths over hung by pine trees run around and Thur the island. Take your mats and towels, climb the cliffs and enjoy the scenery, sun and and crystal clear teal blue water. There are metal ladders and steps leading from the cliffs into the water. The tranquility of thick pine forests and rocky cliffs is an oasis of unspoiled beauty. Reputedly this is the island where Richard the Lionhearted was shipwrecked. There is a little cafe on the island with the most fabulous 3 cheese sandwich you will ever have! Please enjoy some these pictures.
