Day two dawned quickly and we saddled up to resume our adventure (or torment perhaps). Spectacular summer day for our second stage from Waregem to Landrecies, half of stage four of last years tour. We are breaking the longer and mountain stages into two in order to finish in daylight! Today was a great day cycling. V pretty countryside, bright sunny warm day, and best of all, a tailwind! Some very small and quiet towns en route enabling us to see the real france. V impressed with tidiness of all the houses and gardens. Passed three people painting their exteriors today and numerous people working in their gardens. For second day in a row, we got a little lost but only because of roadworks which meant a detour around the town. The French are good at putting the intial Detour (deviation) sign but not many after that! Finished in good shape after 119km in 4 hr 54min for 24.3kph average. Night in Cambrai which had nearest campsite.
