Day 2: Morning in Amsterdam, evening in St.Goar

Before getting back on the bus we had the entire morning to explore Amsterdam during the daytime. I walked along the beautiful streets of Amsterdam taking pictures while others checked out the Anne Frank House. Then Meera, Cornel, An’el, Wael, and I took a tram to the Van Gogh Museum to check out a new exhibit. For lunch we had a few snacks at the FEBO (popular Dutch snack shop) and got back on the bus headed toward Germany.

After crossing the border at Germany I got to witness my first flag ceremony. Our tour manager, Andy, played the German National Anthem while lowering the German flag while we all took pictures of him. After the ceremony we got to listen to all types of German music and got a short language lesson before arriving to St. Goar (Rhine Valley).

After a nice dinner at the hotel An’el, Cornel, Wael and I walked around the little town of St. Goar and took pictures of the castles nearby. Without a tripod this was difficult to do, but we found a way.

Day3: St.Goar to Munich

Before getting back on the bus the next morning we got a private lesson on beersteins (their history and how they are made). A few shops opened up and we got to shop for original beersteins, cuckoo clocks, and original German teddy bears.

We arrived in Munich a few hours before the sun went down. After getting settled into our hotel rooms we walked to the center of Munich where they had their famous Christmas Markets set up. After a few hours of shopping and checking out the center we met our group again and walked to the Hofbrauhaus (the oldest brewery in Muich). We ate wonderful food, tried the beer, and watched others dance around after having a little too much to drink.

Before calling it a night, Meera and I walked around town, and checked out the ice skating rink.
