Locked Out

Rugby World Cup time!! Our mission was to find a place to watch the hallowed event in Estonia; definitely not a bastion of rugby.
The week passed with tree burning (our bit to help global warming), rabbit farm stuff, finishing off a fence and building a pen for some sheep in an old dairy shed. Sean managed to talk with his Dad and chatted with his Mum on Skype; another great Estonian invention.
We were lent a car by the person who owned the sheep in the old dairy shed and with it we headed off to Vanajõe. Expecting a valley with exposed sand dunes, we were surprised to see that the dunes were covered in forest, with a stream running down the bottom. Taking our time (it was a small place) we traced a figure of eight circuit around the pretty little area while the light was still there.

Unfortunately, Sean's normally good habit of locking the car doors turned out to be a mistake. Priidu and Alice had mentioned often that there was no need to lock doors because Hiiumaa is so safe (and it is). Habit got the best of Sean this time and he locked the car doors. When we came back from our wander the car wouldn't unlock and Haldreka was 10 km down the road.
After trying the lock numerous times, we ended up hitching a ride (a first for both of us, but quite common in Hiiumaa) to the farm where Priidu fired up Big John (the tractor) and took the car's owner to sort it out. We were happy to warm up in the house.
