Our trip to Kos was only a quick one, 2 nights and we were off to turkey. There are no ferries to Turkey from Kalymnos so we thought well if we have to go to Kos we might as well stay and check it out.

We stayed at a lovely mid range hotel, which we found rather nice in comparison to hostels. Breakfast was included and it was a great big buffet, we ate up every morning. While we were there there was a bit of confusion. Some people were entitled to an all-inclusive menu. That means free beer, ouzo, wine, soft drinks, lunch and dinner. We had no idea about this at first, and then our first night Erin went to the bar to buy a beer and it was free and on the bar was this inclusive menu bla bla so well we drank a few beers and had a lunch and dinner free. Our last day we were asked if we were all inclusive customers…we just acted dumb and quickly left the hotel for our ferry. We felt a bit bad about it, we kind of thought it wasn’t right but then we didn’t know either. Oh well we saved some money and I don’t think they lost too much.

The most exciting thing we did was for one day was hiring a scooter. We hooned all around the eastern part of the island. We had a lot of fun, sometimes it was a little scary too. They drive like mad man’s over there. We have some great photos of us on our blue scooter.

Our time in Kos was short and we just relaxed. Lived up hotel life and really have no adventure stories to tell. Hopefully the photos will tell you more.
