A one-nighter at Rancho San Andreas on the way to the Orinoco Delta. Spent the afternoon trying to eat lunch in a fly storm - yuk, and the evening drinking on the truck as the bar in the ranch was too expensive for us poor backpackers! The Ranch was particularly fond of animals in cages - dogs, anacondas, guinea pigs and parrots. One of our group decided it was against her principles and set the parrot free much to the disdane of the owner and our tour leader!
