I got done with work at about 3:30 today, just in time to get to Baltimore to pick up Brad when he was supposed to land at about 5. On my way out of Salisbury, I checked my voice mail, and there was a problem at work I needed to deal with. It was great to be able to pull into a parking lot, get on the Internet with my laptop, and resolve it. But it did set me back about a half and hour.

At about 4:30, I got a message from Brad – he’s landed!

Nashville??

In Nashville.

Where?

Apparently, there was bad weather approaching Baltimore, and they’d had to circle, but they didn’t have enough fuel, so the re-routed to Nashville to gas up and try again. At least, he wouldn’t beat me to Baltimore. I had extra time so I went to the outlet mall.

Finally, around 7, he lands, and I pick him up and headed for the Inner Harbor in Baltimore. We have been there before and really like it.

We are staying at the Brookshire Suites, part of the “Harbor Magic” group. For an expensive hotel, it isn’t that nice (the Renaissance we stayed at there last time was much nicer), but the location is great. By 8, we are both starving, so we go straight to dinner at Legal Seafoods. It is great. After that, we go for a walk around the harbor and then go back to our hotel to sleep.
