· From the Cottage we headed in to the town of Killarney. Kev spent the morning charging the computer, which allowed Jules to wander down and around the streets. A beautiful place that we both liked. We spent the afternoon driving thru nearby towns like Kilmare to reach the views overlooking the lakes and mountains near the Killarney National Park (Ring of Kerry). At one stop we both perched ourselves on a rock with a drink and a Snickers overlooking the most brilliant scenery with real Irish music playing in the background- a highlight for sure. From there we headed in the direction of our mountain we dared to climb the next day. Thanks to the classic Irish maps and signs, we got lost but did arrive eventually to where we were to start our treck the following day. From the bottom it didn’t look that bad! We saw the lady that owned the property and she offered to let us camp the night there- excellent. Another yummy tea, a round of Yatzee and an early night to prepare for the morning.
