We  got the tourist bus to Khatmandu. It was very comfy and we even got lunch thrown in. I got the trots though, so was feeling a bit grim . The journey took 7 hours on bumpy roads and my stomach was doing somersaults! The scenery on the bus journey was amazing if not a little terrifying, with massive sheer drops on one side all the way. We saw numerous vehicles that had rolled part of the way down.

Pokhara is just a base for trekkers really but it has a beautiful lake that you can see the Annapurna range of the himalayas from. However we couldn't see anything because of the fog and cloud. We got a boat and had a go at fishing. We had only been on the lake about five minutes when Jim realised he had a leech on his leg!!

Nepal seems much more laid back than India. It has a lot of the same problems but generally a bit cleaner and people are nice and don't stare as much!

It's a bit chilly at the moment so I have been sporting the latest Yak wool blanket fashion!!
