Diving Freedom in Bonaire

We flew Air Jamaica from Newark to Bonaire via Montego Bay. The flight itself was great. We departed the gate in Newark about 15 minutes early giving us plenty of time to grab a couple of Red Stripes and some nachos at Margaritaville in the Montego Bay airport. Arrived in Bonaire in one piece and with all our bags.

Due to the “increased” airport security, we carried on very little. I had a small backpack while my boyfriend had a regular carry-on bag and his underwater camera setup. I was a little disappointed in the airport security. Upon check in we were never asked to show ID. After going through the metal detectors, they did open up my boyfriend’s camera and look through it, but that was about it. Again, when boarding the plane, we were never asked for ID. I could go on about this, but this is a trip report.
