Day 5: Ferry to Korcula
You have a few options in returning to Dubrovnik, from where you’ll most likely be flying out.
You can reverse the outbound portion, driving from Split back to Dubrovnik.
You can take a 6 1/2 hour ferry from Hvar to Dubrovnik

You can see if Atlas Travel (there are agencies everywhere) is running a tour from Hvar to Dubrovnik so you can take advantage of the private hydrofoil as unfortunately there are no regular hydrofoils to/from Hvar and Dubrovnik
I prefer to split up the trip and spend the night on Korcula, a 3-hour ferry from Hvar.
To Do on Korcula
One of the largest islands in the Adriatic, Korcula is covered with dense pine forests and rumored to be the home of Marco Polo. Korcula Town, a quaint village surrounded by 13th century walls. You truly get a sense of how exquisite this medieval town is when you drive uphill and peer back down at this idyllic citadel perched on the sapphire blue sea. Korcula also possesses attractive beaches (some with actual sand) and a sensational coastline.

Where to Stay on Korcula
While overnighting on Korcula isn’t a must, it’s a nice stop on your way back to Dubrovnik.
If you wish to just spend a few hours on Korcula, you can:
Take an afternoon ferry
Pre-arrange a hydrofoil with Atlas Travel
Rent a car, hop the car ferry to the tip of the Peljesac Peninsula and drive back (approx 4 hours)
If you wish to spend the night, the Hotel Korcula is the best on the island.
