Counting Down

The travel guides are scattered throughout the house now, mixed with maps, hotel reservation printouts, train and air itineraries. I am told Guy knows exactly where the passports are. That's good. There is ominous talk of starting to pack soon. We leave June 20 for an entire month in northern Europe, focused mostly in the Hague and Amsterdam with additional excursions to Berlin for Christopher Street Day (one of the biggest Gay Pride festivals in Europe), and to London to spend most of a week catching up with dear friends whom we miss terribly.

Getting to the Natrona County International Airport on June 20 will be easy enough ... getting through the next week and a half of all the work we have to finish to be able to leave, not as easy. But the tickets are non-refundable so whatever happens between now and then, we are going to be on that plane when the time comes.

Guy knows exactly where the passports are. That's good.
