My first week!!!!

Well here we are in Izmir.  We decided to go on a road trip to go and take presents to our friend Muzo (husband of my friend Sheree who lives in Sask).

We took a ferry one hour and then drove another 3 hours to Inegol where Muzo has a cafe in a very bad snowstorm - yes snow!!!!  Worse than Canada!!!! and cold and icey.  I was so glad to get there and finally meet Muzo.  He took us for dinner for famous Inegol Kofte (meatballs).  mmmmmmm love turkish food.

Sunny Izmir!!!!

Decided to head south to Izmir to visit and old army buddy of Osman.  I stayed in the hotel and got some much needed rest while they went out and caught up - his friend does not speak english so the night would have been very boring for me.

Unfortunately we got a flat tire yesterday so I am here at Osmans friends internet cafe while Osman is off finding us a new tire so we can start heading back to Istanbul.

My time here is flying by. I am loving our adventures - and am soaking in every minute of them!!!

Our apartment in Istanbul is very nice but no internet.  So I have to go Osmans shop or elsewhere to use it - that is why I have not written much.
