After a crazy two day celebration of St. Patrick's Day, we decided to spend an Amercian Girls weekend in Karlovy Vary. We set off on the four hour bus ride feeling absoltuely awful. We arrived to this tiny little spa town and the first thing we saw was a woman being frisked against a cop car, apparently for the drugs they had lying on the police car! We walked to our apartment (everything was so cheap we managed to book an apartmant) it was very nice! We had a short lunch and then took a walk through the town. It was very pretty, slightly mountainous (and I say slightly just because I am used to the Rocky Mountains). We decided to cook dinner that night in our little home and made good old American burgers. It proved to quite an eventful evening with card games, prank phone calls and girl talk. The next day we followed Rick Steves advice and set out to find the spa built into the mountain. After a strenous hike straight uphill we found it and send T-Ali in to find the necessary answers. We rented a towel and a locker and we were on our way. The spa pool was outside and after gawking at all the naked Europeans we tried it out. It was cold, to say the least. When you are expecting steaming water and you get in and it is barely luke warm it is not a good experience. We stayed for about an hour, did some quick shopping in town and headed back to Prauge.
