Hello again people!

Yes more than one blog and in quick succession. Hope you aren't too bored already!

Welcome to Milford Sound. The most scenic place we have been to so far with mountains taller than the clouds, the weather no matter what it is ensuring a memorable holiday and tranquility and nature second to none. This is very similar to the lake district, but now think thrice more beautiful!

We arrived in some uncertain weather and proceeded to chillout and book for the following few days that we were there. Unfortuantely it meant having to wake up at some god awful hour of the morning and actually proceed to move our lazy asses out of bed! But it was definately worthwhile.

The 1st morning we were booked in for the Milford Cruise which took us along the sound out to the edge of the Tasman Sea and back via the observatory. To be really honest the observatory isn't really necessary unless you are a fish / underwater enthusiast or just someone with too much money to know what to do with it (in which case send it this way :o)  )   The cruise was really cool though and then we headed to a cafe for dinner and shot some darts before heading back to be greeted with news that a storm was on it's way. This may have thwarted our kayaking plans for the following morning but we weren't to be sure until actually being awake at an unearthly hour and asking :o(

As it happened the weather was diabolical which proved to present us with a win win situation. Ok, our kayaking was cancelled which does suck and i really wanted to do that but never mind, but we were greeted by the most dramatic sights throughout the area and waterfalls a plenty.

A beautiful place, loved it. Oh, also randomly picked up a hitchiker on the way there as we were stopped at the Homer Tunnel, DOH! and also a couple of backpakcers making there way to Queensland when we were, may as well oblige. Danish Ladies :o)
