Saturday morning we left the house around 10 a.m. for Notting Hill area, specifically Portobello Road where all the local market stands are. It was incredible!  Everything is sold there.  Gigantic fresh fruit stands, antiques, old books, jewelry, everything!  I bought a really pretty jade ring.  We walked down Portobello until about 3 p.m and then headed to Lester Square to do a little more shopping. We went to this giant store called Top Shop. Now if you know me you know that I am never overwhelmed by shopping, however, this store, yes just one store, sent me over the top! It’s like a four level store with clothing (tons!), a candy shop, tanning, a nail salon and so much more. I loved it, but we too exhausted and overwhelmed too spend too much time inside. Afterwards we stopped in a couple more stores and finally ended up at Harrods which is the world’s largest department store. It was ridiculous. Inside was a memorial to Princess Diana and her fiancé Dodi Al-Fayed, whose father currently owns the store. I bought some English breakfast tea there as Chris convinced me it is some of the best. I must admit that while in London I discovered the classic combination of English breakfast, sugar and milk and fell in love. I am now addicted. Anyway, after Harrods and another long day of fabulous London we headed back towards the house. Beforehand, however, we stopped at Kensington Creperie just town the street. I ordered a ham, egg and cheese crepe. It was amazing! I would go to London just for these crepes! We spent the rest of the evening relaxing in the house with one another and catching up.
