Back on board Airtran, this time we pushed back on time and are flying Southward as I write this. The Philadelphia airport is much less confusing to fly out of than it was to arrive at. My one complaint about this part was the counter agent when we checked in. He was short, terse and rude, at least by my southern standards. I ask if an upgrade was available, and he answered no, they were all full, however I checked in almost four and a half hours before my flight, and he did not even pretend to check. Granted he had just been slammed by several families checking in late for a flight to Orlando with kids in tow for Disney and the TSA was not helping matters with latterly piles of baggage in the lobby waiting to be screened (I am not even sure my bags are on this flight).

Overall, New Jersey was not what I expected; I was picturing and area of sprawling megalopolis. The Trenton / Ft Dix area is very nice once you get out of a town. Rolling fields of farm and pasture cover the land. My friends in the area though are concerned though. They tell me that the property taxes are driving a lot of the family farms to be sold off so the families can afford to keep the home itself in the family. This saddens me, we need to keep some of the green space we have in that part of our country and not let it be used as a cash cow for government spending, but that is another article.

Well off now to fight the Atlanta Airport
