Projectile Vomiting And A Feeding Frenzy

Finally made use of my scuba diving lessons and took in a couple of dives off the reefs surrounding San Pedro. I was a little scared at first but everything from the class came back easily. I only hyperventilated a little at first, but was soon able to overcome my fears and try to enjoy everything around me. Now here's a little fact you may not have known. It is indeed possible to vomit underwater, into your regulator and still make it to the surface. Who knew?

The water was really choppy today and there wasn't one of us who escaped the motion sickness. I was able to hold everything in though and only dry heaved off the side of the boat about 5 times. The couple I was diving with wasn't so lucky though. One girl ended up vomiting underwater while submerged at thirty feet, her boyfriend made it to the boat where he projectile vomited into the water surrounding us. The fish went crazy, it was like a Sunday picnic on Tuesday. Dry heaving a bit more we headed back to shore for a quick break. The second dive went much smoother as it was later in the day and the waves had calmed down a bit.

Well, only one more day left and I get to brave the cold weather with the best of you.  Not really looking forward to the frost bite and wind chill but on the upside it may cure whatever the hell kind of rash I got from the sun.

Miss you lots.

So jealous! Really loving that I can hear about your trip (somewhat graphically with that vomit bit...) Potentially Rasta weed-man was in San Pedro when we were there, too. Sounds awfully familiar... Wish I was there!!
