It was a drizzling Saturday morning. We had been planning on this ride for months. The night before I did not know how we were going to be able to come up with the funds to go on the ride due to the fact that all week I had not been to work. See my father had past away 6 days earlier and I had spent all my funds already. Did not have much anyhow due to I was a waitress at a restaurant that pick and choose who would make money and who would not. I was one of those who did not make much money and it did not help that my father had past away.

Anyhow, my sister, Erondia and her husband, John, gave us the money to go on the ride. They said we should all go on the ride since we had planned on it and that we all needed to get our minds off of our daily lives and have some fun.

Live each day as if it were your last!

Quoted from the newspaper.

"A New Albany couple suffered serious leg injuries when their motorcycle was stuck by a truck Saturday."

"Truck hits motorcycle"

"A Dodge pickup struck a motorcycle head-on, occurred just before 12:30pm on State Road 60 East, just east of Blue River Bridge. John Carlisle,40, and his wife, Erondia,39, of New Albany were westbound riding a Kawasaki cycle with a group Christian Motorcyclist.

They suffered more then just leg injuries that day. The newspaper reporter did not keep people up to date on any conditions. Erondia was in the hospital for nearly six months and John was hospitalized for even a longer period of time.

Even though we have forgiven the man and woman which hit them head on because they were not pay attention to the road ahead, many others have not forgave these people. Some were angry with these people because they were not watching the road. Others are mad not at the people but at their insurance company because it did not pay for Erondia and John's injuries. Instead, Erondia's coverage with Bluecross and Blueshield covered them for most of the accident and after a settlement was made Erondia and John had to pay the insurance company back. Plus, they are still having surgeries and trying to pay for them on their own as now they have no insurance and because of the doctors not releasing them back to work to even do the smallest thing as answering the telephone, they both lost their jobs at Wal-Mart.
