Well hello all! It has been a while since I have sent an update! What can I say a lot has been happening!

Work – still at the NAG, they have asked me to stay until the end of the year, to complete a data cleansing exercise as well as review the processes of the Management Information team! So at the very least I will have something for a while yet. I have an interview next Tuesday for a senior HR Advisor role with Falkirk College for 8 months. Starting to get more into what I want to do. More money too! We’ll see how we go.

What else have I been up to? Well I have just got back from London and Dublin. Lex and Kel were over visiting so I went down to see them. Also had the chance to catch up with Nigel and Antoinette and another friend Louisa who has moved over to Dublin for a year. Whilst I was in London was able to catch up with my other friends Pete, Alicia, Bron and Spary.

Arrived in London last Thursday and stayed at Bron and Spary’s place – had my first BBQ since I left Oz. It was great. Then I caught up with Lex and Kel on Friday. We did some shopping (yes I bought some more shoes) and had some lunch in Soho! Then the girls caught up with some other friends for some drinks and I headed to Brick Lane for some dinner with my other friends Bron, Spary and Leish. We had a curry which was very nice.

Saturday I was supposed to spend the day with Lex and Kel. Well Lex and I had a good day – Kel was still missing from the night before – god love her! (My kind of girl). Lex and I went to Portobello Road and then back into Oxford st. Then on Saturday night we caught up with a bunch of Lex and Kel’s friends – which turned into a rather large one ending up getting back to the hotel at 8 in the morning – just enough time to have a wee sleep before we had to leave for the airport to head to Dublin. Got to the airport ok – plane boarded on time and we started our taxi on time – didn’t take off for an hour though – that’s how long it took to get to the runway. There was obviously a huge backlog with all the drama with BA. Lex and I finally got to Dublin 45 mins late.

Nigel and Antoinette were there waiting for us and we dropped Lex off at Louisa’s place and then we headed to a BBQ – my second in only a few days! Loads of seafood! Fabulous! Then Nige, Antoinette and I headed home. Hit the sack quite early. Got up Monday and headed into town so I could catch up with Lex and Louisa. Ended up not meeting up with them, as they were doing touristy things that I had already done. I caught up with a friend that night for a few drinks, his name is Sean and he is very hospitable! Then on Tuesday I woke up with the beginnings of a cold, so I stayed in bed for a while and then headed into town again to meet up with the girls. This time we did actually catch up, although I was feeling shocking! Headed back home for a while and was going to head back into town to have dinner with the girls. Went to bed for a wee nap and didn’t get up until 9am the next morning – the cold had set in good and proper!

Got back to Glasgow and basically have been in bed for 2 days recovering! Aah well. Starting to feel better now though. Ready for the weekend (very quiet one) and the new week ahead!

Anyhoo – that’s about all for now – hopefully I will have a holiday destination next time we speak – heading for a week in the sun in September – birthday present to myself! Looks like Mexico – ola!

Take care and I’ll speak to you all soon!

Go the SWANS!
