It was disgusting! I hated it! First of all I got 1/4 of one. I didnt want to see the head. But the 1/4 has a foot. Nice hu? The skin smelled bad and when I tasted it, it didnt taste bad immediately. I was trying to overcome the fact that it smelled bad. But then the after taste was terrible. I gave the rest to my instructor who loves it. She took it home to her husband and daughter. She was very happy. I did take pictures though. Yes, they know the gringos want a picture of a whole one. So I did the touristy thing and took a picture. The other interesting thing was our conversation. Which started with me being a pilot. You know I never bring it up but my instructor mentioned it to the other instructor and you know how that story goes. So here I am trying to explain my job, seniority, bidding and how I turned two weeks vacation into five. I was so frustrated. At the end I said to the other students, did that make any sense. (in English) Apparently, somehow everyone understood. The students were from, England, Scotland, Germany & US (me). It was interesting to hear everyone stumble for the words to explain their jobs. It made me feel better. It was good practice.

When I signed up with the school the director told me he gave me a very good and very patient instructor. I didnt realize the full meaning of this until today. Although I have suspected it for a week now. Americans are the only students that dont know another language. And we have a harder time learning because of it. So I havent excelled as much as the others who have been here the same amount of time. Remember, the others all speak at least two, usually three languages.

I tried Guinnea Pig!

I leave for the beach today or tomorrow. I will update you with the weekends events when I get back. I cant wait to get some sun and relax on the beach. Oh yeah, I have homework.

Chao!
