After taking a shower me and my roommate checked the hotel to find breakfast. Found the dining room, took something to eat and found out that breakfast was not included.

We had a little welcome drink with the other travellers and after that we conquered the streets of San José. Just to find out that not much was happening there.

Unfortunately, before the Spanish came, nothing much happened in Costa Rica

After walking around a few hours in the sun, it suddenly started to rain. So we dived into the museum that's located under the central square. We had to buy one ticket to be able to enter all 3 musea that were there!

First we entered the museum about the National Mint of Costa Rica. Very funny, because Costa Rica doesn't have a National Mint anymore. Money is printed outside Costa Rica, even in Europe!

Then we went on to see the history of Costa Rica. Unfortunately, before the Spanish came, nothing much happened in Costa Rica. Not much Mayans, Aztecs etc. there.

After visiting the last museum (photograpy) it had stopped raining. I went back to the hotel, checked by mail and gathered with the other people to eat something at the restaurant on the other side of the street.

After dinner, we entered a local pool bar and watched some American sport channel. We took a few beers, and went back to the hotel.

Again I couldn't fall asleep :(.

“Unfortunately, before the Spanish came, nothing much happened in Costa Rica” - too bad you didnt visited the Jade Museum or Guayabo ruins, you would have seen thats not true at all! perhaps next time... Oh, and if youd like to know, the churches are Soledad and Mercedes, and the square is "Plaza de la Cultura" (Culture Square?)
