Well... this was a long long day !

One look outside the RV and I was convinced we weren't going anywhere!

"Hands across America" decides to take the chance and drive out of the snow! Here we go.. we're going to get stuck....

Hmmmm...  ok ok.. so his eye rolling was warranted.  Missy just drove on out of there without a hitch.. What a star !  Greggy had walked out the track in the snow first and away we went!

So.. of to the falls.  Took about 5 minutes to get there.  Man it was cold but the falls were just so awesome!

We spent a few hours there walking around and taking a heap of pics and then had some lunch.  Just as beautiful as the falls were some of the houses .. the Xmas decorations coupled with the snow made for some great scenes... I'll upload some of them.. my favourite was this stunning white house, we were both blown away by how beautifully decorated it was for Christmas.

Back in the RV.  When we planned our day and looked up what RV Park was open from the falls to New York City there was only one mid-way.

From the falls to NTC was about 380 miles (approximately 600+ klms).  Normally, we wouldn't do that sort of mileage in a single day unless it was just a travel day but as the falls took until about 2pm, even the 250 miles as planned to the midway point was going to be a stretch.

I suggested we head back to the park we were in the night before but Greg said that as they don't appear to be shovelling the snow there, that another night there we may very well be stuck so off we went.

Cross the bridge back into USA and NY State.  Greg was in the mood for driving so driving he did.. right through until past midnight.

We entered Pennsylvania, then New Jersey and ended up parking about 30 miles from NYC and found a car park in a semi lit area and went to sleep.. so clearly we passed the midway point.

We started in Ontario Canada this morning, arrived in NY State, then clipped Pennsylvania and ended up in New Jersey.. a lot of border pics today !

Alex wanted to catch a NY Giants game on Sunday so Greg was determined to get there and being the dedicated navigator that I am, I was there right along side.
