The final travel destination on our trip across Europe was Paris, France. For to have traveled Europe and not visited 'The City of Fashion and Love' would have been a crime. We arrived on November 13th via train and then took public transportation to our hotel, located in the heart of Paris. It was located down a narrow corridor amid many store fronts, just two blocks from the subway, and less than a mile from the Eiffel Tower.

After unloading our many bags and souvenirs from our other travels, we were anxious to explore Paris. We walked down the little streets with our umbrellas and big coats, with smiles that stretched from ear to ear. This was Jenny's most anticipated trip and I never imagined I would have the chance to visit it. And amid the fog and rain we discovered pure beauty.

The city was full of history and art and we were determined to make the most of the next few days. This we later discovered also included taking over a thousand pictures, so as to never forget our adventure.

Over the next three days, we saw:

The Eiffel Tower, The Arc de Triomphe, The Louvre, Versailles, Marie Antoinette's, Notre Dame, Napoleon's Tomb, Basilica of Sacre-Coeur, and Moulin Rouge.

The Eiffel Tower was even taller than I had imagined, The Louvre at least twenty times grander in size and scope, Versailles' atmosphere was ruined by the art of Jeff Koons, Notre Dame was an architectural splendor, and the Moulin Rouge a slight disappointment.

Our adventures also included getting hustled on the trek up the hill to the Basilica of Sacre-Coeur, meeting a real-life bird man, and being serenaded by accordion players on the subways.

After a busy weekend of site seeing, Jenny, Sylvia and I celebrated our last evening in Paris, by cracking open a bottle of red wine and drinking it together in the comfort and warmth of our hotel room.
