What a fine day was yesterday! Touring around one of the best spot in Scotland, you can't ask for more! After another night in the pub, the mood this morning was not the best...But still, we hit the road at around 8:30. Chris having is traditional brew and me having the less traditional Irn-BRU!
Today was to be a day of going north for the last day before we make our way back south to Edinburgh. We did drive for an hour or so when Chris pulled on the side of the road asking me if I was ready to see Scotland! I was a bit confuse by this question...I was in Scotland since a week! In a very (I put the emphasis on the VERY) scottish accent I said Ay! So he show me the way to a belvedere where you could see a Loch, a big Loch! Where the heck is Scotland, I've asked? Right in front of you mate! After trying very hard to see Scotland I told Chris to stop fooling around with me! He then explained to me that the Loch was called Glengarry and that it was made using dynamite to shape it like Scotland! So I could actually see a Loch that looks like the Scotland! (look at the photo for some visual evidence!)
Skinny dippin' and a Nessie bite!

After that kind cool Loch, we drove some in the liquid sunshine (which is the equivalent of heavy rain for us non-scottish) to the Loch Ness! I was so excited to be able to see this Loch probably one of the most famous Loch in all Scotland! It was a very foggy day and Loch Ness look as mysterious as he can be...We made a stop by a very nice beach, actually, rocks! But never the less, I was certain that Nessie would show up just for me and my camera! After looking like a tourist trying to wait for all the tourist to go away to take a picture of Picadilly Circus, I decided to go for a little dip in the Loch Ness! It was late October and as you probably know or imagine if you don't know the water is cold...After all, it was the chance of a lifetime for me to swim in the Loch Ness. So there I was getting naked ready for a dip in Loch Ness! As I was gathering my thoughts, Chris was already imitating Nessie trying to get attention from the Nessie Research Center! I didn't wait long, I ran and plunge in the ice cold water! I swam a little bit before somethig bite me...I had an encounter with Nessie! The only evidence is on the left of my foot...and you don't want to see my footm not more than you want to smell it! AHAH!

After that skinny dippin' we were on our way to Inverness. The road was as scenic as it could expect in Scotland. Before we arrived, Chris told me that the next stop going to be the Culloden Battlefield. And in the same sentence, he asked me to remove my England sweatshirt. I was wondering why I should remove it because the liquid sunshine was so powerfull that I could get a cold. He didn't change his mind! So here I was walking in short sleeve with heavy rain coming down and a small 5 degrees. It was cold, it was wet but as always Chris as the way of making history so interesting. So basically that what he said to me:
"Culloden Moor, scene of the last major battle fought on mainland Britain, is one of the most iconic and emotive sites in Scotland. The battle that took place here on 16 April 1746 effectively ended Jacobite hopes of restoring the exiled Stuart dynasty to the throne of Britain. The army of Prince Charles Edward Stuart was crushed by Government forces led by the Duke of Cumberland. In less than an hour – the time it takes to walk round the battlefield – it was over. The brutal measures imposed after the battle signalled the end of the distinctive way of life and culture of the Highland people of Scotland."
I understood why Chris asked me to remove my england sweatshirt...
After this sad part of history of Scotland we were already getting ready for a big night...Oh my god! It was a big night! So after we had a small lunch we went to a pub hidden in some back alley! We had a lot to drink and we did a lot of traditionnal scottish dance! Since I'm from a part of canada which the music has been influenced by the scottish folk, I was the main attraction dancing with every girl in the pub and drinking with every lad in the pub! After all that excitement I was the pub drunk and...I don't remember a feckin' thing that happen after we went back home!
