On the way from Agra I stopped at some old ruins(the name escapes me). I ran into an Irish couple I had met in Varanasi at the bus change. We toured the ruins, but this guide gave us the run down for free as he had nothing else to do with the down turn in tourism. At the end we gave him a tip anyway. Next to the bus terminal was a restaurant where I had stored my bag. The best frsh mango juice I have ever had in my entire life. I had one on the way in and one on the way out! Then, I headed up to Jaipur and they headed to Delhi.

Coming into Jaipur was amazing. The Camel lead carts and Camels walking around everywhere gave it a truly majestic feel. The architecture of the old city was amazing. I was glad that I made the trip here instead of heading direct to Delhi.

I stayed at a pretty big hostel, where everyone seemed to be 'finding themselves' and 'experiencing the vibes of india`, though I don`t think one of them ever left the hostel except to go to a fancy pool, and they definitely never really met any Indians. There are a lot of these types travelling around Asia, but especially in India!

I went out to see the sites. I agreed to go with a rickshaw driver to two shops, one jewelery shop and one rug shop, as long as he took me to see the sites first. This is how it works in India. If you agree early, you pay far less and you go to the sites you want first. Then, spend a small amount of time in the shops and head back to the hostel. He took me all over the outskirts of the city to many old palaces and temples, even to a good place for lunch. But, the highlight was the Amber Fort. Though, it is best viewed from below. The inside is worth a look, but nothing special. Great day all in all, although very very hot!
