So i drove from thunder bay to Winnipeg a trek of about 800 km sustained by sandwiches made by the English guy i was giving a lift too and as everyone know theres nothing like sandwiches had on the side of the road washed down with ice cold coke. I'm also finally beginning to to fully realise how big this country is.

Winnipeg definability has a prairie town feel to it and as the major city in a fairly big area it has it own unique vibe, even the fashion seems completely different in a very slight way but i have to admit i really liked this place and i think because i hadn't being in a city in a while explains why i spent 4 days here. The city itself is new by most standards and mostly blue collar. The old building are turn of the 20th century. Some parts of the old downtown are kinda rundown but not dangerous, well during the day time anyway. Most of the night life is located in a different section of the town and the places i went to were had a farily good atmosphere, plus people were friendly. one of the days i spent chilling out with girl that when to school in ireland with my sister. mostly lazing about in cafes. also had to go to another baseball game, this time a minor league one. i think i have to say it was more enjoyable than the major league game i went to in toronto, as it was a must win for one of the teams. it had a that home town feeling that hollywood loves to protray. i don;t know if it's related i was also drink a fair bit of beer so that may have clouded my judgement and it was an good excuse to go out if one was needed.
