The advantage of living in Seattle was that we didn't have to take a flight reach the cruise terminal, we had to just take a 5 minute cab ride. The boarding process was smooth, we dropped our two suitcased in the luggage area and carried our one carry on through immigration and up the gangplank. We had entered the ship on fifth floor, out stateroom (cabin) was on the 4th. We got our pictures taken and moved towards the front of the ship, towards our cabin. We caught quick glimpse of the huge atrium called the Centrum and the Casino.

The stateroom was awesome, being just 154 sq ft with low ceiling, it was designed to look pretty spacious and have enough space for everything. There was a queen bed, a love seat, a dressing area, a wardrobe and most importantly a window overloking the ocean. A program for the evening's events was left on the bed. The first activity on schedule was the emergency drill. The alarm sounded, seven short bursts followed by a long one and we out on our life jacket and reached our assembly area, just like everyone else. It ended with a speech from our captain.

We quickly moved to the 10th floor deck to witness the Set-sail party. Seattle looked beautiful from a distance as the massive ship slowly moved away. Downtown buildings and the space needle loomed in the background as there was live music and some lively people danced on the poolside deck. It seemed pretty stable, atleast for now. Will we need the motion sickness pills? For now, the view was awesome and there was a storm like wind on the top deck. I sipped onto a mango drink and we snapped up out first few pictures of the cruise. There were certainly lot more to come.

Before dinner was a show in the ship's theatre and there was good comedy. The dinner itself was a first look at what all was to come. A full sit down dinner, six courses and a fantastic menu with specials that would change everyday. Our dinner partner for the cruise was going to be Alice, and we totally enjoyed her company through the cruise. Ekta still misses the Ceaser's Salad which she ate every single day. I am not much of a salad person and I must say it was awesome.
We were a little tired and the mild rocking made us sleepy. We retired early, tomorrow was going to be a day at sea and I was hoping to start it watching a soccer match early morning.
