The Skyline Drive becomes the Blue Ridge Parkway at Waynesboro - but the scenery remains spectacular. There are mountains as far as the eye can see and lots of trails to waterfalls and rocky outcrops tov keep us fit. Head out to maple country for a morning and buy some syrup from an icecream-eating redneck.

Hello you two. I have been enjoying your journal and photos. Are you heading for Louisiana now? My geography is terrible! Poor Oscar has got chicken pox and so we have cancelled his 1st birthday party. Boo hoo!Its cold but sunny here. I forgot to ask before you left but can you please on your return bring me back a few Butterfingers (if you have room). I will give you the money and I got so addicted to them in the US that whenever anyone goes there I pester them for some!!! Greedy piggy!
