Pai is chilled - very chilled which is perfect!
We have rented a sweet little hut overlooking the river with a great view and complete peace to read our books and relax. When we get bored with relaxing we have been going out on a couple of 50cc mopeds we have hired for about a pound a day - exploring the local water falls and canyons which has been excellent fun!

The place is so small that we keep bumping into people we have met - the girls from the post office in Chaing Mai, the guys from the bike hire shop, the tall American from the waterfall and the Amercian doctor from the hot springs! It's like a travelling community and so many people just don't end up moving on...
There has also been a festival in town where band stands have been set up in the middle of the streets and bands blast out indie sounding music whilst the young Thais go crazy!
