At about 10am we drove up the coast stopping at small villages (with some very strange architecture - when I say strange I mean unusual to us, shapes and colours that we're not used to). Eric's parents live in one of the villages where we stopped and we decided to buy a Pizza and have it at their house. Very friendly people. Further up the coast we went for a walk in a nature reserve called Vastra Kullaburg Naturrerservat and had a swim in the sea (What do you mean was there snow! Short sleeve shirts all the way) close to a little town called Molle. Very clear water and really not that cold all things considered. Saturday night we stayed at the Eric's parents' beach house in Vejbystrand (I think that's right) and saw an amazing sunset. Truly one of the best I've seen since I've left Africa (and I've seen some great ones on Hampstead Heath! Check out the photos on the other journal entries!). Since Louis visited us in Cape Town in 2001 (?) I've been bugging her to cook us some traditional Swedish food, and she finally came through, although I must admit I was a little worried at first. We ate some crayfish and herring and drank schnapps, but it turned out absolutely delicious. I could've done with less schnapps though. Had a bit of a killer hang over the next day.

Crayfish and Schnaps!
