The owner of the campsite where we spent last night told us about a very nice state park known as Tahquamenon Falls in upper Michigan. He also suggested that we see Lake Superior before traveling on.  We decided to do both.

First, we crossed the famous Mackinac Bridge from lower Michigan to the Upper Peninsula. It's a giant bridge and gives a great view of Mackinac Island, the setting for one of our favorite movies, "Somewhere in Time". Just on the other side of Lake Michigan, we stopped to get a good picture or two, only to find ourselves in quite a mess. It turns out that angry seagulls rule the shoreline. They want bread, and they will tear it from your frightened hands if you aren't careful. Ben found this out the hard way. It seemed like a good idea at the time, but we should have known something was up when they seemed to be able to hear the bread wrapper being opened while we were still in the car. Very creepy.

We survived to then check out the world famous MYSTERY SPOT! It is home to amazing gravitational mysteries that baffle the mind! Not really. Actually it's a home built at an angle to make everything appear to have a strange pull. There was a similar house at Six Flags a few years back. Still, it was fun and we got to use our AAA discount!

We then drove north to the Falls to discover that there are actually two falls, which you will see, about a mile from each other. It was all very pretty.

The strangest thing of the day however was Lake Superior. It's fresh water, as are the other lakes, and is about 20 degrees. Ben put his feet in and tasted the water. Tasted like feet.

We drove late into the night to arrive at our next stop. The football mecca, Green Bay.
