Day 9/10

We explore Steward and Surrounds for the next couple of days. Well This is what we should be doing but the plans have changed due to the weather.  The waves for the cruise were between 6-14' so the boats have not gone out.

Today we danced in the bloody rain again. We went to the Cold Water Research Centre, this was built with the little money that Exon has actually paid to Alaska. It was good. We then spent more money on souvenirs and then went back to camp for lunch. We had a cat nap and then waited for Pete to get back and tell us what’s to happen for the next couple of days. Due to the weather we could not cruse tomorrow. The decision was to change camp and head to Hope so that the weather might be better for the cruise in a few days. We got to Hope and the weather was ok for a change and we set up camp, went into town for dinner and returned to camp.

Tuesday 25 July 2006

Today Nicole and I went for a 2hr hike while the dickheads went white water rafting. The rapids were up to class 5 which is one step below a waterfall and they did not enjoy themselves because it was too cold. They are real girls blouses, who would come to Alaska without cold weather clothing, idiots!!!!! Our hike was nice we did not have enough time to complete the entire hike but the view along the way was nice, but we did not see a bear. We then went to the local laundry which had internet and waited for the idiots. Once they had cleaned themselves we drove to Homer to set up camp on the Spit (a tiny piece of land that the ocean has not swallowed up). Bloody cold tonight so into bed and curl up.
