Fiddled around in Las Cruces after buying the new rig.  Has anyone ever moved from one rig to another?  It's almost as bad as moving from house to house.  As we would be ready to button up the old one, one of us would open another cabinet and find more "stuff".  After we took delivery it took 3 more trips to the old rig to get what we had left behind.

Poots has finally calmed down and has accepted her fate.  Early on, she had climbed up into the dash and stayed there all day.  A trip to Lowes, cutting plywood to block access, solved that problem.  We were able to provide a small entry beneath the sofa, which she likes whenever she hears unfamiliar voices.

The journey from Las Cruces to Tucson was wonderful.  Quiet, no hot radiators, or engine lights over the mountains- just went beautifully.  The stress of worrying about being stranded in the middle of the desert has diminished.

Tucson is beautiful.  We are "foliage folks" and the desert does not lend itself to be pleasant to the eye.  However, Tucson has made this location the best of both worlds.  A clean city, with lots of history and charm, is still in the building mode.  Construction going on everywhere and beautiful homes to compliment the environment.

Friends from New Smyrna Beach, FL have moved here and gave us the grand tour.  From majestic mountains surrounding Tucson to historic Butterfield Stage Coach trails.  Ranchers had owned much of the land around Tucson and when home contruction began in earnest, they became developers.  We had a wonderful visit.

Hi Phil & Teddi, Looks wonderful, glad you got the new RV squared away finally. Frank wanted to tell you that despite common opinion "thar's gold in them thar hills" is not a CA. reference but was originally spoken by the Mayor of Dahlonega, GA. to prevent the entire population from heading West when gold was discovered in CA. And, even today there's a working gold mine in Dahlonega. (He knows this cuz his home office is located there). Have fun and we'll see ya in a bout a month, yes? Which reminds me I need to write to Jack. Bye, Frank and Judy
