leaving halifax i drove down the atlantic coast of nova scotia and stopped of a the fishing village of lunenburg. was able to pass a few hours there before moving on. mainly known for the old wooden houses and churches. once again there was a festival going on. this time a folk music one.
then drove through the center of nova scotia on the way to digby. there was nothing of interest that i had to stop for but the drive itself was alright.
digby is just another one of them small villages that i passed through all along the NS coast line, but i needed to be there to get the ferry across to St. John. it tries to pass itself off as the scallop capital of the world (as the sign says) but i this wasn't my idea of a capital of anything.that said the scallops were tasty enough.
there was much to do here even if it was a friday night, which may have been for the best as i had to get up at 3.30 am to get the 5 am ferry.
