Had a relaxing day in the breeze, but sunny day in Nuwara Eliya, looking around the Botanical Gardens. The flowers weren’t quite in full bloom as the season is March to August, but enjoyed ourselves anyway… the now 6 angels going amongst the trees, making fools of themselves, going photo crazy! Did manage to find a baby monkey though, soo cute! Also, bumped into tour guides who recognised us from being at BundalaNational Park.

We tried getting to a monastery… kept going in our van up a mountain, through tea plantations and amazing views. We even past check points and all of us had to get out of th van for it to be searched. With less than a week past when the last bombing went off and being very close to where it landed, no wonder why we were being searched in a Tamil area. We were lucky not to be fully body and bag searched like everyone else! Then without realising it went past the place and the driver noting to us that it’s closed today! Nice of him to tell us in advance! Did have some good tunes going on in the van including ‘SavageGardens – Truly, Madly, Deeply’. Hadn’t heard that in so long! Got back safely and chilled in the evening.
