Death Valley NP
From Our Adventures in Death Valley National Park, United States on Jul 05 '06
This must be the most horrible place on earth. Death Valley is by far my least favorite NP ever. We drove on the main road for one hour, and only saw 1 other car in that time. If our car would have broken down, I'm sure we would have died there with nobody to save us. To get an idea of what it's like there, turn on your oven to 350 degrees, open the door, stick your head in and that's what it's like to be in Death Valley. The temperature guage on the Solara topped out at 114 and was there for some time. The temp was probably closer to 120 degrees.
And let me tell you this - nothing, and I mean NOTHING smells worse than a 120 degree pit toilet.
