July 25-28 Kenai Peninsula Kenai Peninsula is beautiful with lots of wild life. Mountains can be seen to the south and west. Kenai is also great salmon fishing.

July 28-Aug 21 Soldotna, Alaska Solid Rock Bible Camp has a wonderful ministry to kids in Alaska. Our first week here, they had hockey camp and 35 kids received Christ. How neat for us to play a small part of this ministry. The fellas worked on the prayer chapel. The ladies and I worked mostly in the kitchen and some in the office.

On a weekend trip to Portage, we saw glaciers and floes floating in Portage Lake. I met Smokey Bear there.

Dwight and I went fishing in the Kenai River and he managed to catch a 40-45 lb King Salmon. We then took a fishing charter out of Homer at the Homer Spit and both of us caught our limit of 2 each. That was about 60 more pounds of fish. We had an abundance to share and share we did. Two Sundays we gathered the volunteer workers here at camp and grilled salmon and halibut. We are still eating it…very delicious.

This Sower group was wonderful. While they were very dedicated Christians and serious about their walk with the Lord, they also knew how to really enjoy life. We have laughed til our sides hurt. We feel like we have been fellowshipping with the Saints, as indeed, we have.
