We arrived last night after four hours in the bus from Bangkok. The area was so quite at early in the evening. Most of the stall around the main area was closed already. None of them could even tell us where our hotel was, even telling them the exact name of our hotel. Anyway after solving it ourselves we found it at last. Supposed to be in the center of the village but it was kind of hidden in the alleyway. A guy was waiting for us at the reception area. At this point, he was already dying to go to bed. It shows anyway in his face that he was sleepy... after giving our keys we went straight to our bedroom, it was so massive for a double en-suite bedroom. It reminds me of a room in the hospital, even in the hallway was a bit strange.. After all those speculations myself and Andy went out to wander and look for an internet cafe. We found one at the back of the market.. Most people that was in there where youngster and playing computer games. It was only me and Andy that was checking our mails. And they just keep staring at us but it didn't bother us. We just keep  going on what we were doing. After an hour of surfing the net  we just went straight to the hotel.

We got up early the following day. We don't want to miss the market day and the real trading without the tourist hassling the river.. We were told it is better to go there early before all the tourist arrive or else all we could see are tourist taking photo's and annoying  most of them. We walked 2km to the floating market from where we were staying. At last when we arrived at the famous floating market. Only few tourist where in there, no buses, or groups of tourist yet. So delighted to see them selling and trading there staff in the boat. And few of them where trading as well to go for a ride in there boat. So as planned anyway we ride in the boat and took the deal for 40 mins. And I did some trading but only managed to buy some fried bananas for my breakfast. Andy says he'll wait till he gets a proper breakfast. It is typical of a western people.

But as mentioned in the book it is really true that the local market element is gone.
