It's our 2nd day in Langkawi. Had breakfast near Kuah town this morning - had to travel this far coz I need to get myself a new digital camera. Don't think I could travel peacefully without a camera. So, I grab myself a new cheap Samsung camera worth RM500. Nevertheless, it's a good bargain due to it's quality. In terms of photo snapping, this camera is better than my Olympus. It snaps the photo much easier & faster. Good for me !

After having breakfast, we drove to Mahsuri Tomb. The entrance to this place used to be free but I guess the Government just realized that they could make money out of the place & therefore they've refurbished the whole place & charged RM10/adult, RM5/child for the entrance fee. Frankly, there's nothing much here except for the tomb & well. A lot of people actually take out the water from the well & wash their face with it - dont really know why they did that - so superstitious !! They even sell the water in a small plastic bottle for RM1. What a crap!!!

Washing your face with the water taken from Mahsuri's well wouldn't make you any prettier!!

In addition to the tomb, there's a potrait sketching service for a price of RM29. The artist is quite good & fast too. The sketch remarkably resembles the model. They also have a traditional Caklempong performance just as you pass the entrance gate. Other things that you could find here is a mini zoo ( for birds, mousedeer, monkey etc), muzium, snack stall & souvenir shop. If you came here at 3 pm, there's a short play about the legendary Mahsuri.
