A dog adopted us on Sifnos and it followed us for miles and miles across the island.  It would sometimes take a few minutes off to chase a cat or argue with the other dogs, but would always catch up with us in spite of our evasive maneuvers.  We went through the back door of a restaurant to ditch it, but the dog still found our room a little while later.  Fortunately, it gave up on us sometime during the night.  We caught the ferry without a dog tagging along.

We had to stop for a minute to watch a lady cleaning fish by her back door.  Her activity had attracted the attention every cat in town (it was a small town - about ten houses).  The cats all politely kept their distance and watched her intently.  My picture only shows three cats, but there several more just out of camera-range.
