I arrived in Arhus Monday afternoon. Since then I have been getting to know other exchange students and the city of Arhus. Our orientation/introduction week put on by the university has been loaded with events, and one thing is for certain...the Danes know how to party. Wednesday was a Western party, complete with a mechanical bull and over 1000 costumed people dancing and drinking.

My living situation is faily utilitarian. My room is furnished with just the essentials and so a trip to Ikea is in order so make the room home for the next few months. The bathroom was the biggest shock, as there is no shower. The shower is the bathroom. Just a little wierd, but at least the water is hot!

The bathroom. Notice the shower nozzle by the sink. The floor slopes to a drain underneath the sink.

This next weekend will be filled with exploring Arhus and getting settled with classes. We (oregon state students) are planning trips to Prague, Munich for Oktoberfest, Paris, London, Amsterdam, and some of the other Scandinavian countries.
