My motel in Chandler (arranged by a motel clerk in Perce) was very good.

One of the interesting aspects of travelling across Canada and particular Quebec is the treatment of language.  In Quebec, I met several people (clerks at motels, servers at restaurants, etc.) who could not speak English at all.  The signs in Quebec are French.  Not French and English - just French.

The people, though, are very friendly and very helpful partly because I think that they think I am simply a goofy old guy from British Columbia who needs help.

The lady who registered me, also was the bar tender and also was the restaurant server was one of these people.
