Manuel Antonio National Park is one of my favorite places in Costa Rica. It is the reason I chose to attend language school here. I was last here four years ago. Things have certainly changed. It seems that the rest of the world really loves this place too. There has been so much development on the road to the park that I nearly did not recognize the place. The entry fee has soared to $10, and it doesn't matter that I live here. Ugghhh. I guess I will not be visiting very often unless I sneak it like other folks. You know I ain't scared!

It was a beautifull, hot day at the park. I saw the usual assortment of wildlife like lizards, iguanas, and monkeys. There was a very different surprise on the beaches. A pack of wild racoons have taken up residence, so if you have food...WATCH OUT! They are not afraid and are a bit aggressive. Even throwing stones doesn't deter the little bandits. Can't say I blame 'em!
